Job Summary
Load and unload freight, trucks, and materials while accurately logging item numbers and tracking inventory moves using the JDE system. Maintain a hazard-free environment by organizing parts, conducting physical inventory counts, and managing hazardous waste in line with regulations. Safely operate forklifts and straddle lifts to move big materials, navigate the floor, and support production flow. Train new team members on safety protocols and floor procedures. Adhere to all safety policies, truck and trailer protocols, and written orders including hazardous material warnings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience
- Comfortable using computers
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to operate tools and equipment with precision
- Ability to talk and listen
- Ability to bend
- Ability to squat
- Ability to reach overhead
- Ability to crawl in tight spaces
- Ability to perform repetitive hand tasks
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to read and apply measurements with a tape measure
- Ability to read and interpret instructions
- Ability to learn quickly and master the JDE system
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work the schedule including overtime
- Ability to follow company safety policies
- Ability to support training for new team members
- Ability to participate in Poindexter Production System initiatives like 5S, Lean, TPM
