Material Handler - 1st Shift

Operate forklifts and straddle lifts to move materials and keep production flowing. Log item numbers for unidentified materials to maintain accurate inventory. Use JDE to track inventory moves and support daily operations. Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free warehouse; count, sort, and organize parts; assist with loading/unloading trucks; read and follow written orders and hazardous material warnings; participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation; train and guide new team members; manage hazardous waste per regulations; uphold safety policies and contribute to a safety-first culture. Role requires moving between sitting and standing, and lifting up to 35 pounds; overtime may be required. Involves continuous improvement activities (5S, Lean, TPM) as part of Poindexter Production System initiatives.
