Job Summary
The Material Handler operates a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, count, unload, and load merchandise within the warehouse, and assists in unstacking, packing, shrink wrapping, and restacking pallets to create display packs. Follows Wavepoint Warehousing's safety and operational policies; ensures accurate quantities, lot numbers, and production codes against manifests; unloads inbound trailers, moves products to storage, picks and prepares products for shipment, inspects trailers and outbound materials, and maintains inventory control and security. Uses sit-down and stand-up forklifts or other power equipment, inspects equipment daily, and adheres to safety requirements in all activities.
Required Qualifications
- Prior forklift experience
- Safe driving operations
- Detail-oriented and results-driven
- Standing 4-8 hours a day
- Walking for short periods
- Lifting, occasional heavy lifting, overhead lifting, from floor level, weights from 10-60 lbs., and lifting while moving the body in various motions
- Pushing/Pulling
- Climbing/Balance, off forklift, trucks, docks, anything else that requires a step up or down
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand the English language
- Simple problem-solving skills
