Job Summary
Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, inventory control, kitting, and shipment of materials, parts, and equipment. Responsibilities include picking parts and building kits from BOMs, receiving and inspecting materials, performing put-away, maintaining accurate inventory locations, preparing materials for shipment (packing, labeling, documentation), processing shipments with carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, DHL), creating shipping/receiving records, supporting cycle counts and discrepancy resolution, issuing materials to production, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery. Preferred skills and tools include familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems, RF scanners/WMS, MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook), shipping documentation, and forklift operation (certification preferred). The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related warehouse experience; experience in manufacturing/technical environments and knowledge of major carriers are assets.
