Job Summary
Material Handler graduates to keep production moving by safely operating forklifts and straddle lifts, loading/unloading freight, and maintaining accurate inventory in a fast-paced warehouse. Responsibilities include logging item numbers for unidentified materials, using the JDE system to track inventory moves, performing physical inventory counts, mentoring new teammates, adhering to hazardous material handling rules, and supporting safety initiatives and continuous-improvement programs (5S, Lean, TPM). The role requires reading and following written orders and specs, organizing parts, and contributing to a hazard-free, efficient warehouse environment. The position involves standing and lifting up to 35 lbs, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift experience
- Comfortable using computers
- Read and follow instructions
- JDE system familiarity
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to operate forklifts and straddle lifts safely
- Attention to safety and 5S/Lean TPM practices
