Job Summary
Load and unload freight, log item numbers for unidentified materials, and leverage JDE to track inventory moves. Maintain a hazard-free warehouse environment by organizing parts, conducting physical inventory counts, and managing hazardous waste in line with regulations. Safely operate forklifts and straddle lifts to move big materials, support production flow by loading and unloading trucks, and mentor new team members. Follow written orders, specs, and labels while adhering to all safety policies and truck protocols. Work independently with minimal supervision, lifting up to 35 lbs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives like 5S and Lean.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable using computers
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and straddle lifts
- Ability to strictly adhere to all truck and trailer protocols
- Ability to confidently read and apply measurements with a tape measure
- Ability to read and interpret instructions
- Ability to learn quickly and master the JDE system
- Ability to manage roof coil and door rack change-outs
- Ability to manage all products including customer units, flat-bed carry-outs, FRPs, and hazardous materials
- Ability to maintain a zero-defect mindset
- Ability to work the schedule including overtime
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to participate in Poindexter Production System initiatives like 5S, Lean, TPM
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to operate tools and equipment with precision
- Ability to talk and listen as part of a safety-focused, team-driven environment
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to perform physical movements like bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and occasionally crawling in tight spaces
- Ability to perform repetitive hand tasks
- Ability to climb ladders or work at heights
