Job Summary
Material Handler - 1st Shift at Greenheck Group responsible for moving materials using forklifts and cranes, maintaining inventory accuracy with SAP/MII/WMS, building crates per SOPs, and supporting safety/quality initiatives. Performs cycle counts, picks, packing, labeling, and prepares shipments (FedEx). Maintains FIFO flow, communicates with internal teams, and assists in training and cross-training within the department. Requires certifications for forklift/cranes, basic math/reading/computing skills, ability to read blueprints, adherence to 5S/Lean practices, and compliance with PPE and safety guidelines. Starting pay $22.89/hour, with increases to $26.03/hour; growth through adherence to SOPs and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Ability to read measuring devices
- Ability to safely operate equipment which may include material movement equipment such as forklifts and overhead lifting devices
- Forklift, combis, vertical man lifts, and crane certifications (certifications required)
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check if offered employment
