Job Summary
Manually or using hand trucks, perform various material handling duties in the facility, including stacking skids or containers in designated areas. Clean up and dispose of scrap, cardboard, and strapping, using tools like hammers and crowbars to remove strapping and open crates. Assist operators with daily responsibilities and move materials as required, while ensuring all safety gear is in place. Follow work instructions, procedures, and company policies at all times. Maintain the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 55 pounds occasionally. Work the first shift in a family-owned manufacturing organization that values teamwork and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to walk, push, reach overhead and bend to the floor
- Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force regularly
- Ability to perform repetitive movements such as bending over an extended period of time
- Ability to repeatedly lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to repeatedly lift objects weighing up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions
- Able to safely operate materials moving equipment, including industrial powered trucks (forklifts/lifting equipment)
