Job Summary
Maintain inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock; record locations with onboard computer terminal. Operate a stand-on forklift to move parts, finished goods, and deliveries; load/unload materials onto pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with lifting devices. Record part numbers, quantities, and locations of inventory; perform visual quality checks. Use electric or pneumatic hoists to move heavier painted parts, and utilize pallet jacks or forklifts to move parts to storage areas. Maintain a safe, clean work environment and participate in 5S initiatives. Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe operation. Strive to meet safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards. Identify and apply Lean methodologies to improve processes. Willingly perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Experience operating a stand-on forklift
- Experience using a pallet jack
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to follow standard work and procedures
- Ability to record part numbers, quantities, and locations accurately
