Job Summary
Material Handler 1st Shift at Cornerstone Building Brands responsible for packing and float loading to optimize delivery, material handling and machine/equipment operation to fulfill orders, ensuring equipment operates properly, completing orders safely and accurately, inspecting materials and tools, assisting with ERP-based inventory updates, and transporting materials within a manufacturing/warehouse setting. Must maintain safety with PPE, perform routine maintenance on production tools, operate forklifts, load/unload materials, verify materials against paperwork, stage materials for production/shipping, conduct basic equipment inspections, follow OSHA requirements, keep area clean, and assist in other areas as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred; forklift certification or ability to obtain certification; prior forklift/warehouse experience preferred; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to work in a fast-paced environment; in Oak Grove, LA with in-person duties.
