Job Summary
Material Handler 1 handling receiving, counting, and stocking stock items; unpacking deliveries, storing in appropriate locations, and notifying departments upon item arrival; maintaining inventory through continuous updates; labeling goods; ensuring cleanliness and safety; determining storage methods based on turnover and environmental factors; keeping records of stock usage and damage; aiding other warehouse staff; must meet physical requirements and have reliable transportation; experience in industrial warehouse and construction projects preferred; basic computer literacy and strong communication skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in PPE across weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of experience working in a warehouse.
- Must have 2+ years of experience working on an industrial construction project in the warehouse or equivalent material handler position
- Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be organized and can complete an accurate count of items received.
- Must have good communication skills, including the ability to read and write effectively.
- Must be familiar with basic computer operations.
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Must be able to use tools such as hammers and drills to open crated materials received or to crate up materials that are scheduled to be shipped.
