Job Summary
The Material Handler 1 is responsible for moving products throughout the manufacturing facilities, performing transactions within SAP, maintaining cleanliness, verifying part numbers, and safely handling materials. The candidate must operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment and perform duties such as proper packaging, maintaining component inventory, and coordinating with shop personnel. An active Haas Forklift certification is required along with basic knowledge of material handling and ERP transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Maintains an active Haas Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of basic ERP transactions and information, such as Bills of Material and Routings.
- Can perform basic transactions within SAP.
- Knowledgeable in the proper and safe manner of securing materials on trucks and forklifts.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of material handling activities, including packaging standards and proper use of forklifts.
- Knowledge of maintenance requirements of forklifts within the department.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and safety rules in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
