Job Summary
Material Distribution Support at Sun World International is responsible for supporting and executing the global distribution of Sun World varieties’ plant material in line with IP and commercial strategies. The role coordinates end-to-end supply chain from source to quarantine, ensures material distribution aligns with commercial testing/launch forecasts and licensee commitments, and maintains compliance with intellectual property rights, regulatory requirements, and phytosanitary standards. Responsibilities include tracking materials in precommercial stages, handing off materials after quarantine to licensing phases, developing robust distribution processes from clean hubs to destination geographies, ensuring timely harvests and proper conditions, disposing discarded varieties per local procedures, and maintaining systems for tracking requests, shipments, quarantine clearance, and inventory. Partners with Breeding R&D, Legal, Commercial, and Finance; works closely with Licensing, GTS, Marketing, and Breeding hubs to support material movement and IP protection.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in Business Administration, Agriculture, Commerce, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fruit export industry with experience in plant material movement or import and export trade compliance.
- WORK SCHEDULE: This role will be onsite Monday through Friday at our Bakersfield office.
