Job Summary
The Material Coordinator oversees the receipt, inspection, and processing of materials within or between departments, coordinating the flow according to production and shipping schedules. Responsibilities include supervising material receipt types, reviewing and approving documentation for damaged materials, ensuring compliance with COSIS, managing warehouse maintenance, and improving inventory processes. Candidates must have a High School Diploma and five years of warehouse experience, including material management and supervision of warehouse staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Five (5) years of demonstrated warehouse experience performing materiel management functions including materiel receipt at a warehouse, issue, Care of Supply in Storage (COSIS), and reconcile discrepancies identified during physical inventory.
- Supervised 10+ warehouse employees.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in DoD Systems Applications and Products (SAP) for warehouse management.
- Navy ERP warehouse operations.
- MILSTRIP, NAVSEA Warehouse Process Guide.
- Logistics documentation: WMFs, DD-1149, DD-1348, DD-250, Bills of Lading.
- Discrepancy reporting: TDRs, SDRs, PQDRs.
- SUBSAFE/LEVEL I/DSS-SOC material handling.
- Preferred Certification: OSHA forklift certification (up to 15K lbs capacity, Class I-V and VII)
