Job Summary

Manage inventory, storage, and cataloging for depot, local, or other supply activities while maintaining property utilization records. Perform individual case problems and supply actions by analyzing program requirements against standardized guidelines to define problem dimensions and recommend actions. Build and maintain knowledge of governing supply systems, policies, nomenclature, and work methods to support organization needs. Complete required paperwork, vehicle maintenance logs, and routine reports while operating a government general-purpose vehicle. Work in a warehouse environment with frequent lifting to 20-50 pounds, standing, and constant alertness under deadlines. Maintain a safe work environment by completing training, participating in emergency response, and complying with safety and quality policies.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines
  • Ability to work in GSS-Army
  • Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties
  • Must have a valid and current state driver's license
  • Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Must have the ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks
  • Must understand and be able to use Technical Manuals
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
  • US Citizenship
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check
  • Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire
  • Must be available for any shift
  • Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
  • Access to the Depot requires all covered individuals to be registered with the United States Selective Service
