Job Summary
Material Coordinator role focused on safe staging, prep, and tracking of materials and parts for maintenance projects. Responsibilities include gathering, staging, and delivering materials to Millwrights; maintaining accurate inventory records in CMMS/ERP systems; monitoring stock levels and communicating supply needs ahead of projects; staging parts, tools, and materials for planned maintenance; assisting maintenance technicians with locating and transporting equipment; supporting shutdowns, turnarounds, and preventative maintenance; operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.); contributing to continuous improvement documentation within maintenance; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in industrial/maintenance environments, knowledge of inventory control and material handling, familiarity with CMMS/ERP systems, strong organization and communication skills, valid driver’s license, PPE-compliant industrial work environment, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial or maintenance environment
- Knowledge of inventory control and material handling practices
- Familiarity with CMMS or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory systems)
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to operate a light vehicle
- Ability to work in an industrial environment requiring the use of PPE
- Physical ability to perform challenging duties (lifting up to 50 pounds)
