Job Summary
The Material Controller will move product to maintain appropriate flow through production areas, receive/issue and physically move material, and document material movements to ensure inventory accuracy in the system and physical locations. Responsibilities include interpreting production plans and shipping orders to meet material-handling requirements, performing regular cycle counts, using forklifts and overhead cranes to load/unload/move materials, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of products. The role requires TPM forklift inspections, adherence to safety policies, and participation in related duties as directed by leadership. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with forklift and overhead crane experience and basic computer skills; an Associate’s degree in manufacturing is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired
- Prior forklift and overhead crane experience
- Ability to prioritize work in order to complete deadlines
- Basic computer knowledge and an understanding of job-related programs
