Job Summary
Material Control Specialist III responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production and operational efficiency. Performs inventory tracking, cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation of stock discrepancies, and data entry in ERP/MRP. Collaborates with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability, manages material distribution based on requisitions, and may handle packaging/shipping (domestic and international, including hazardous materials). Maintains accurate inventory records, supports policy improvements to increase efficiency, and works with suppliers and internal partners to expedite critical materials. Requires strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and ERP/MRP systems; and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. ITAR/EAR compliance is noted, with U.S. person requirements and potential for HazMat handling responsibilities. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K, 9/80 schedule, and holiday shutdown.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 - 4 years related stockroom/inventory experience
- Foundational knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems for inventory tracking and control
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Forklift experience desirable but not required
- APICS CPIM or equivalent desirable
- Experience with Oracle ERP or similar system preferred
- Hazmat shipping experience desirable
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ESD
