Material Control Planner III

Job Summary
Procure mass production raw materials required for wire harness manufacturing while balancing physical inventory and preventing line shutdown. Review POs, backorders, forecast, and expedite requests to maintain steady supply within inventory goals. Communicate with vendors, review forecasts, backorder reports, and supplier performance; generate forecast and inventory reports; support plant and warehouse teams on payments, deliveries, and discrepancies. Coordinate carrier assignments for expediting, and travel up to 0–5 days per week as needed to streamline production phases. Apply problem-solving techniques (Kaizen) to optimize processes and reduce downtime. Strong collaboration across production, procurement, and warehouse teams, plus proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in production, material planning, and/or warehouse operations
- Knowledge of warehouse operations
- Effective analytical, written, oral communication, negotiating skills
- MS Office such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Excel proficiency)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Some travel required (Domestic and International)
