MAT Registered Nurse

Job Summary
Administer MAT medications per provider orders and facility protocols while performing nursing assessments to monitor patients for withdrawal symptoms, treatment response, and potential side effects. Conduct venipuncture, prepare laboratory specimens, and track results; accurately document all care activities in the electronic health record. Collaborate with MAT providers, behavioral health clinicians, and security personnel to ensure coordinated, continuous care delivery. Educate patients on treatment adherence and harm-reduction strategies, maintain medication inventory compliance with DEA regulations, and participate in quality improvement activities. Assist with discharge planning and support staff training on MAT procedures. Requires an active RN license, one year of experience, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment
- At least one (1) year of nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in medication administration, injections, and phlebotomy
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a secure environment while adhering to all safety and security protocols
- Ability to stand, walk, and provide patient care for extended periods
- Manual dexterity to safely handle medical equipment and controlled substances
- Must be able to lift or move materials up to 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to respond promptly to clinical or facility emergencies
- Must meet facility security clearance requirements and comply with correctional safety procedures
