Job Summary
LPN providing direct MAT-focused nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting. Responsibilities include administering MAT medications, conducting nursing assessments for withdrawal and treatment response, venipuncture and specimen handling, accurate EHR documentation, coordination with MAT providers and interdisciplinary teams, patient education on adherence and harm reduction, inventory and DEA/state compliance for controlled substances, participation in quality improvement and audits, discharge planning, and staff training on MAT procedures. Requires active LPN license, BLS, and experience with medication administration, phlebotomy, and MAT familiarity; ability to work securely in a correctional environment with physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted LPN license in the state of employment.
- At least one (1) year of nursing experience; prior corrections, behavioral health, or addiction treatment experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in medication administration, injections, and phlebotomy.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a secure environment while adhering to all safety and security protocols.
- Familiarity with MAT protocols, controlled substance handling, and applicable federal/state regulations.
