Job Summary
Support the 4flow research team in application-oriented studies for a 5–6 month Master’s thesis. Work on scientific questions from data preparation and analysis to modeling, evaluation, and interpretation, always in close collaboration with experienced logistics researchers. Process data from various sources and expert interviews, integrate them into a scalable analysis pipeline, and implement models in Python (Codex) with evaluation of quality using established metrics. Topics include Data-Driven Transparency for Global Supply Chains and Probabilistic Transport Corridor Analysis for Resilient Response Strategies, developing data-driven frameworks, path inference engines, and monitoring supply risks. You will collaborate with data scientists and logistics researchers, exchange ideas regularly, and ensure smooth knowledge transfer within the team. You have solid programming skills (Python or R), practical experience in logistics or supply chain management, and strong English skills (German a plus). Required Qualifications
- Master's student status
- program in logistics, business informatics, business mathematics or comparable field
- very good performance in Master’s program
- solid programming skills in Python or R
- experience or interest in logistics or supply chain management
- very strong English skills; German is a plus
