Job Summary
Master Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive systems across ASE disciplines, ensuring safe operation, accurate service work orders, and customer engagement. Must follow VIP safety, loss prevention, and process standards; complete required training and certifications (ASE G1, A4, A5 and related certifications); strive for first-time quality, maintain productivity, and work with parts desk to source needed components; role includes extensive technical duties, shop upkeep, and compliance with regulations.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended or equivalent
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Explain vehicle information to customers, present and respond to questions from coworkers
- Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
- Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to perform the listed automotive services
