Job Summary
Master Technician on a Hybrid schedule supporting the Professional Tools New Product Development team. Responsibilities include performing technical tests, analyzing results, providing actionable design advice to engineering teams, monitoring engineering data against performance targets, identifying trends and recommending improvements, staying current with technical and process advancements, providing technical consultation to Engineering Support and other stakeholders, mentoring technicians, leading and scheduling meetings, delivering presentations to internal and external partners, solving complex problems, documenting and sharing technical knowledge, and establishing new techniques to help teams meet objectives. Key skills include 3D CAD, diagnostics, electrical/mechanical design, project planning and tracking, strong communication, mentorship, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to consult and advise teams for decision-making and problem-solving.
- Advanced ability to navigate complex and ambiguous test requirements from Design Engineering teams.
- Demonstrated competence in project planning, scheduling, and tracking.
- In-depth product and user knowledge relevant to Stanley Black & Decker’s portfolio.
- Proficient in 3D CAD, diagnostics, and electrical/mechanical design.
- Strong mentoring skills and ability to develop technical talent.
- Exceptional communication skills, with tact and diplomacy to exchange ideas effectively.
- Proven ability to influence others to achieve shared goals.
