Job Summary
Oversee daily service department workflow by dispatching repair orders based on technician skill and workload. Assist with complex diagnostics and difficult repairs, then perform final quality control inspections before vehicle release. Supervise and support automotive technicians throughout the repair process while monitoring productivity and efficiency. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment and ensure compliance with manufacturer procedures. Coordinate with Service Advisors on repair status and delays, and assist in training and mentoring staff to reduce comebacks. This role supports the Service Manager in maximizing shop productivity and customer satisfaction at a high-volume repair facility with over 500 vehicles in inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, or Master Technician
- ASE Certifications
- Leadership and team management experience
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
