Job Summary

Troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration, and steam-powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment while adhering to all safety policies and using proper hand and power tools. Utilize a tablet to document tasks, parts orders, and timesheets on a timely basis, and collect payment on COD jobs. Maintain service vehicles, tools, and uniforms, and monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are available. Work independently with daily supervision, communicate professionally with customers regarding repair status, and obtain correct part numbers through the branch parts person. Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday on-call rotations and work regular overtime as needed. Contribute positively to branch targets for response time and first-time fix rates, and participate in available training to increase skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen
  • Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards
  • 1 Year of applicable experience
  • CFESA Master Technician with three of the four CFESA certifications
  • Must have three of the four CFESA certifications
  • Must be assigned to the on-call roster
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment
  • Must be able to utilize tablet to document task (parts order, work order, timesheet) on a timely basis
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with customer regarding required repairs and status
  • Must be able to use proper tools for repair, including hand tools and power tools
  • Must be able to monitor truck stock to insure required parts are stocked on vehicle
  • Must be able to maintain service vehicle, tools and uniforms
  • Must be able to work independently with daily supervision
  • Must be able to participate as scheduled for weekend/holiday on-call rotation and work regular overtime as needed
  • Must be able to obtain correct part numbers through branch parts person
  • Must be able to collect payment on COD jobs
  • Must be able to contribute positively to branch targets for response time and first time fix rates
  • Must be able to participate in available training to increase skill and knowledge
  • Must be able to adhere to all SAFETY policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment
  • Must demonstrate leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and train other employees
