Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration, steam, and HVAC commercial kitchen equipment while adhering to all safety policies and using proper hand and power tools. Utilize a tablet to document tasks, parts orders, and timesheets on a timely basis, and communicate professionally with customers regarding repair status. Maintain service vehicles, tools, and uniforms; monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked. Collect payment on COD jobs and contribute to branch targets for response time and first-time fix rates. Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotations and work regular overtime as needed. Demonstrate leadership by mentoring and training other employees.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen
- Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards
- 1 Year of applicable experience
- CFESA Master Technician with three of the four CFESA certifications
- Must have three of the four CFESA certifications
- Must be assigned to the on-call roster
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment
- Must be able to utilize tablet to document task (parts order, work order, timesheet) on a timely basis
- Must be able to communicate professionally with customer regarding required repairs and status
- Must be able to use proper tools for repair, including hand tools and power tools
- Must be able to monitor truck stock to insure required parts are stocked on vehicle
- Must be able to maintain service vehicle, tools and uniforms
- Must be able to work independently with daily supervision
- Must be able to participate as scheduled for weekend/holiday on-call rotation and work regular overtime as needed
- Must be able to obtain correct part numbers through branch parts person
- Must be able to collect payment on COD jobs
- Must be able to contribute positively to branch targets for response time and first time fix rates
- Must be able to participate in available training to increase skill and knowledge
- Must be able to adhere to all SAFETY policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment
