Job Summary
Plan and schedule all production activities and job work orders for travelers to production while maintaining efficient capacity loads across all work centers. Create and maintain a long-range build plan forecasting production levels based on sales backlog and order demand. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, and Purchasing to balance work center demand with overall manufacturing capacity. Monitor new project startups, analyze work center loads, and adjust capacities to reflect personnel changes. Release weekly plant schedules by work center and distribute reports to supervisors and managers.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years experience in an operations role in a manufacturing environment
- 3 years scheduling specific experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ERP software
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to express oneself professionally utilizing both verbal and written communications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate within a multi-departmental team
- Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
