Job Summary
Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for all products while collaborating with sales, production, and supply chain to align forecasts with capacity. Monitor inventory levels to adjust the MPS and prevent stockouts or overstock, utilizing ERP/MRP systems to optimize scheduling and resource allocation. Identify and mitigate potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks, then generate and distribute various scheduling reports and performance metrics. Lead cross-functional meetings to review and refine production plans. This role supports partner companies in Kentwood, MI, focusing on effective team leadership and initiative management within the manufacturing region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or demand planning within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics AX) and advanced planning tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications
- APICS certification (CSCP, CPIM) preferred
