Job Summary
Plan and coordinate inventory replenishment for warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing plants to meet sales and distribution demand. Analyze inventory levels, planned production, and sales forecasts to develop inputs for the computerized inventory management system. Monitor forecast and safety stock levels, adjust accordingly, and project monthly shipments to strategic partners in terms of products, quantities, and dollars. Review stocking orders with partners for product availability and scheduled ship dates, ensuring shelf life products satisfy contract minimum dating requirements. Allocate shelf life products for shipment to minimize scrap exposure and coordinate material transfers from manufacturing to distribution locations. Prepare weekly and monthly status reports on backorders, reagent planning, and similar subjects.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures
- Material planning
- Distribution systems
- Bachelor's degree in management
- Minimum of three years of experience in similar or preparatory work
- Previous experience with computerized inventory/distribution management systems
