Job Summary
Input orders into the management system and produce and maintain a master schedule consistent with production plans. Coordinate all aspects of the production schedule as the central liaison among Program Management, Engineering, Contracts, and Manufacturing. Develop business area forecasts, monitor capacity, and adhere to evolving scheduling policies. Respond to quotation requests by preparing functional company program plans and analyze customer demand to assure delivery dates are attainable. Monitor master production schedules for slippage, alert management of potential delinquencies, and recommend corrective actions. Chair formal meetings to coordinate recovery plans and resolve problems beyond the mandate of Material Planner and Production Controller. Prepare and distribute regular project status summaries and attend production reviews. Work directly with FG shippers to assure timely and accurate goods issuance. Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation. This role supports a 37.5-hour workweek within General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada's operations team in Ottawa.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Material Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related discipline
- 5 years experience in Production Control Planning, scheduling and monitoring with an MRPII system
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment
- Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
