Master’s Thesis Adaptive Multi-Modal Sensor Fusion with 5G/6G ISAC
HybridErlangen, Bavaria, Germany
Job Summary
Analyze ISAC sensing limitations for vehicle environment perception and develop a modular system-level simulator using Matlab. Design and implement adaptive sensor fusion strategies, including modality weighting and switching, while comparing perception pipelines ranging from radar-based to ISAC-enabled approaches. Conduct simulation experiments under varying environmental conditions and interpret results regarding robustness, reliability, and system-level trade-offs. This 6-month master's thesis requires enrollment at a university and solid knowledge of signal processing, communications engineering, or sensor fusion.
