Job Summary

Conduct crisis intervention, maintain assigned caseloads, and provide clinical services including assessments, individual counseling, discharge planning, and group facilitation. Manage patient medical records, complete bio-psychosocial assessments, and facilitate weekly progress notes while making referrals and coordinating insurance authorizations. Communicate with families, attend case conferences, and ensure compliance with federal regulations and 42 CFR Part 2. Deliver services via in-person and telehealth modalities, maintain professional licensure, and complete required trainings and external reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field: clinical psychology, education counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, or social work.
  • Maintains and submits any current Licensure or Certificate necessary for the performance of the position.
  • Must always present as courteous and professional;
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks;
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion;
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO Electronic Health Record (EHR);
  • Must have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner;
  • An understanding of the relationship between substance uses and mental health issues and/or self-help programs;
  • Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries;
  • Reinforce rules in a respectful manner;
  • Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations;
  • TB/Flu and Covid19 Assessment;
  • Annual Completion of the HPAO crisis de-escalation program;
  • CPR Certification;
  • Successful completion of all trainings upon hire and annually as required.
  • Ability to provide clinical services through in-person and telehealth modalities;
  • Maintain professional license in good standing, as applicable;

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of supervised substance use and/or mental health disorder counseling experience preferred.
