Job Summary
Master Planning Project Engineer responsible for planning and designing the civil infrastructure framework for large-scale developments, including drainage, stormwater, water, sanitary sewer, parking, and roadways. Uses Civil 3D to prepare exhibits and documents, designs land-development projects with storm sewer software, and ensures compliance with regulations and standards. Performs site investigations, on-site construction observation, and independently addresses engineering problems under supervision. Leads small to medium projects, mentors junior engineers, and manages multi-disciplinary teams while coordinating with clients and maintaining budgets and schedules. Strong emphasis on client relationships, communication, and QA/QC participation. California experience and PE licensure preferred. EIT certification required.
Required Qualifications
- EIT Certificate
- Strong project coordination and delegation skills
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing detailed engineering plans, calculations, and specifications
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and manage multi-disciplinary project teams
- Strong client management and communication skills, including understanding and addressing client needs and expectations
- Ability to assist with the QA/QC process
- Exceptional communication skills are required
- Understanding of survey, data collection and construction methods
