Job Summary
As a Master Mechanic, the role involves repairing and maintaining heavy construction equipment, analyzing systems for performance, inspecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical systems, disassembling systems, repairing or replacing defective parts, and welding as needed. The job requires a 2-year AAS degree in Diesel Technology, at least 7 years of experience with diesel engines, and a Class A commercial driver's license. Strong work ethic and ability to work cooperatively are essential. This full-time position operates both in-shop and on-site during the construction season, with the expectation of regular overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year AAS degree in Diesel Technology
- 7+ years of training and experience in working on diesel engines
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment
- Proficiency in welding and fabricating parts
- Ability to analyze mechanical systems and components
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Iowa
- Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites
