Job Summary
Serve as the site's subject-matter expert for electrical systems, equipment, and code compliance, overseeing installation, maintenance, and repair of distribution systems, panels, and controls. Lead electrical projects from planning through completion, diagnose complex issues, and provide technical direction to electricians and maintenance staff. Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability while maintaining strict adherence to NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and Department of State standards. Document work performed, update records, and mentor junior personnel. Support emergency response efforts and remain available for after-hours issues as required. Maintain active Secret Clearance and hold a valid Master Electrician License with at least five years of experience in commercial, industrial, or government facilities. Perform duties under adverse weather conditions, alternate shifts, and on-call rotation, reporting within one hour of notification.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Master Electrician License
- Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or government facilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and performing complex repairs
- Prior experience in the supervision of a workforce responsible for operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems
- Must be able to conduct preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs from ladders or elevated platforms
- Ability to lift, carry and set up tools, equipment and parts that weigh up to and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when scheduled and report to work within one hour of notification
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Acceptable reference and background check results
