Job Summary
Install and connect electrical lighting systems, conduit, wiring, fixtures, controls, panels, and related components for civil construction projects. Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and drawings to guide installation. Troubleshoot electrical and lighting issues in the field and perform testing and inspections of completed work. Coordinate electrical activities with project managers, superintendents, field crews, and other trades while identifying material and equipment requirements. Ensure all installations comply with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and project specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment outdoors on active construction sites.
Required Qualifications
- Previous commercial, industrial, or civil construction electrical experience
- Strong experience with electrical lighting installation
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable electrical requirements
- Ability to read electrical plans, drawings, and specifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors and on active construction sites
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
