Job Summary
Install, service, and maintain electrical systems for commercial mechanical structures, equipment, and related components on new, remodel, and repair projects. Read blueprints, interpret wiring schematics, and perform calculations to determine specifications and material needs. Collaborate with internal staff, clients, and external contractors while communicating project plans and progress. Use a computerized management system to record work, maintain documentation, and meet reporting deadlines. Prepare work areas, operate tools and vehicles, and clean up after project completion. This role requires 10+ years of experience as a licensed electrician with medium voltage expertise, including HVACR and food service equipment. You will work independently under direct supervision, travel 100% to job sites, and adhere to a non-standard schedule including emergency on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 10 or more years of experience as a licensed electrician
- Experience working with medium voltage systems
- Licensed Electrician- Formal recognition by appropriate trade organization of journeyman Electrician status in the State of WI
- Valid class D driver's license and commercial insurability
- Ability to travel to job sites 100% of the time
- Ability to work a non-standard schedule including emergency on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 2–4 hours while traveling to and working on jobsites
- Must be able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 75 pounds
- Must be able to wear required PPE for the full shift
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Must be able to exchange accurate information through oral and written communication and make fine discriminations in sound
- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must be able to perceive the natural sounds of normal speaking levels
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in commercial industrial electrical work
- Experience in installation, service, and/or maintenance of HVACR and Commercial Food Service Equipment
- Federal Medical Card to transport large commercial trailers
