Job Summary
Lead pharmacy operations by supervising all staff, managing medication dispensing, inventory, and workflow optimization while ensuring strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. Directly address customer inquiries regarding drug interactions and side effects, resolve complex operational issues, and conduct performance evaluations for pharmacy technicians. Implement quality assurance programs, maintain accurate patient records, and foster a collaborative environment through effective coaching and staff development. Complete ongoing training, manage pharmaceutical inventory levels, and uphold sanitation and safety standards across the department. This exempt role reports to the Store Director and Director of Pharmacy, requiring a registered pharmacist with 2-4 years of retail leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
- Current Pharmacist license in good standing.
- A valid driver's license.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a retail environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on hard surfaces (tile/concrete).
- Reach overhead and twist; lift up to 15 lbs. with both hands.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 5lbs to the height of 34 inches.
- Bending and squatting, occasionally to floor level.
- Ability to climb a ladder up to 15 ft.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Retail Pharmacy Software and POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Experience in training and developing pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
