Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles while diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards, then accurately document repairs and complete work orders. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment, while following all safety procedures and company policies. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations. This role involves working in a mobile, outside, and shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights. Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
- Ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace
