Master Control Operator

Job Summary
The Master Control Operator is responsible for the overall on-air appearance of the television station, managing programming and station breaks, and maintaining signal control systems. This role includes segmenting content to the server, monitoring signal quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with Emergency Alert System requirements. The ideal candidate has a technical degree or equivalent experience, with at least three years in a broadcasting environment, strong skills in digital electronics, and proficiency with office technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field
- Minimum three years’ experience with digital electronics systems in a television broadcasting environment
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
- Strong PC/MS Office experience
- Experience with digital transmitters and other broadcast-related equipment
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
