Job Summary
The Master Control Operator is responsible for maintaining the overall on-air look of multiple television stations by airing programming and scheduled station breaks. Responsibilities include updating and maintaining signal control systems, managing programming logs, monitoring signal quality, and ensuring compliance with Emergency Alert System requirements. Applicants should have a technical degree or equivalent experience, fluency in English, strong communication skills, and at least three years of experience in digital electronics within a broadcasting environment. The role requires proficiency in various office equipment and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Minimum three years’ experience with digital electronics systems in a television broadcasting environment
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
- Strong PC/MS Office experience
- Experience with digital transmitters and other broadcast-related equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
