Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and adjust assigned equipment to meet production and quality requirements while performing routine quality checks and documenting results. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, including GMP compliance and proper chemical use, and safely operate a forklift or pallet jack when assigned. Coordinate with upstream and downstream operators to maintain product flow, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and report hazards immediately. Work independently on a Sunday through Tuesday night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, adhering to strict safety protocols and completing required production documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Highly attentive to detail with a strong commitment to quality and food safety
- Ability to learn the position within approximately four (4) weeks
- Working knowledge of sanitation practices and GMPs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- Demonstrated good attendance
- Demonstrated satisfactory performance record
- Forklift operation ability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically
- Ability to lift a 40 lb block of cheese during production
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Ability to wear required chemical-resistant footwear
- Ability to climb stairs routinely
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity typical of food manufacturing environments
- Ability to follow site safety rules
- Ability to follow food safety requirements
- Ability to follow all standard operating procedures
