Job Summary
Massage Therapy Instructor at Northwest Career College in Las Vegas, NV (Part Time, Mon–Thu 4 p.m.–10 p.m.). Responsibilities include mentoring students on professionalism, managing hands-on training per NCC curriculum, providing feedback to improve hands-on skills, grading practical examinations, managing online classroom discussions, grading participation and assignments, responding to email from students and staff, supporting departmental purchasing/inventory management, participating in professional development, attending department/faculty/in-service meetings and graduation events, dressing professionally, and performing miscellaneous duties. Requirements include Active Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy License, HS Diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years in-field experience with massage therapy, knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology/Kinesiology, and preferred lead massage therapist/training experience; salary $28,800–$29,400 annually; benefits include health, PTO, insurance options, 401k, professional development, and on-site retreats. Location: Las Vegas, NV.
Required Qualifications
- Active Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of work experience in the massage therapy field (with diploma, degree, or certificate)
- Minimum of three years of work experience in the massage therapy field (WITHOUT diploma, degree, or certificate)
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Familiarity with current education methodologies and techniques
- License/Certification: Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy License
