Job Summary
Greets salon visitors courteously, administers health history and release forms, and evaluates contraindications before performing Swedish, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic, reflexology, or Shiatsu massages. Discusses client needs and past experiences, explains techniques while noting limitations regarding diagnosis, and maintains a professional service-oriented demeanor. Incorporates safe work practices and ensures regular, reliable attendance. Requires current State Massage Therapist license, CPR/First Aid certification, and three to six months of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility
- Three to six months related experience and/or training
- Current State Massage Therapist license
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Ability to read and speak English

- Experience with Swedish modalities
- Experience with Deep tissue modalities
- Experience with Sports modalities
- Experience with Therapeutic modalities
- Experience with Reflexology
- Experience with Shiatsu
- Ability to provide educated explanation of massage techniques used or referral to a physician
