Job Summary
Massage Therapist at St. Croix Hospice delivering therapeutic touch as part of an integrated care approach, working with clinical teams to provide relief and comfort to patients through techniques such as Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, and Energy work. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, documenting sessions within 24-48 hours, educating the clinical team on treatment appropriateness, and ensuring HIPAA compliance; schedule is 8:00am–5:00pm in a full-time role at Harrisonville, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy program
- Current Massage Therapist License or Bodywork Therapist License in practicing states
- Valid State Driver’s License, automobile in good working order, automobile insurance as required, and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background, consumer report, and drug test
- Provides massage therapy per Clinical Supervisor/Manager direction following the plan of care; assesses patients for appropriate medical indication and treatment effectiveness
- Administers therapeutic interventions (Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, Energy work, compressions) to alleviate symptoms and improve relaxation, comfort
- Observes and reports patient responses and condition changes to Clinical Supervisor/Manager and relevant staff
- Maintains required documentation (clinical notes, charting, coordination notes) in patient records within 24-48 hours of sessions; participates in education programs
- HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
