Job Summary
Delivers and maintains a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction by performing all regular and seasonal massage services according to Encore Service Standards. Coordinates within the Spa Department to maximize opportunities for departmental success, including scheduling, maintaining processes, and supporting team members. Ensures all Encore standards of cleanliness and appearance for treatment rooms and back-of-house areas, while strictly adhering to Massage State Board licensing requirements and safety protocols. Manages multiple priorities in high-pressure situations and actively contributes to company-wide communication and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or above
- Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required
- Minimum of 2 years massage therapy and customer service experience in a demanding high-volume luxury spa or resort environment
- Dual license in massage therapist & esthetician preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests
- Conversational English required
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least thirty (30) pounds
- Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner
- Must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
Desired Qualifications
- High school or equivalent degree preferred
- Second language a plus
- Dual license in massage therapist & esthetician preferred
