Job Summary
Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue, hot stone, and sports, tailored to member and guest needs. Conduct consultations to understand client preferences and recommend aftercare, while maintaining accurate records of member history. Ensure a welcoming atmosphere by promoting spa services, collaborating with team members, and preparing treatment rooms according to hygiene standards. Follow health and safety protocols, attend regular training sessions to stay updated on industry trends, and assist with additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized massage therapy program from an accredited institution, which usually includes both theoretical and practical training
- A valid state massage therapy license or certification, as per local regulations
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a resort, country club, or high-end spa
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in various massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or therapeutic massage
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, particularly in relation to soft tissue manipulation
- Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines
- Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule
