Job Summary
Evaluate and provide massage therapy to fighter aircrew personnel as part of a prehabilitation program focused on strengthening core musculoskeletal systems to enhance resistance to neck and back injury. Deliver healthy lifestyle education and develop metrics to demonstrate effective prevention strategies for musculoskeletal conditions. Maintain an active, current, and unrestricted massage therapy license from a U.S. state while possessing current Secret security clearance. This role supports LMR's joint warfighter training mission by improving the overall quality of life for aircrew through targeted neck and back pain prevention.
Required Qualifications
- active, current, and unrestricted license or certification from the US jurisdiction where the service is to be provided
- graduated from a MT certification program
- maintain a license or certification from a U.S. state
- experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes, or equivalent
- current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
- Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation)
- Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain Secret security clearance
- oral and written communication skills in order to meaningfully interact with peers, outside agencies, vendors providers and Military Health System (MHS) stakeholders to provide briefings, presentations, research, and develop metrics to demonstrate or advance effective and efficient neck and back pain prevention
