Job Summary
The Spa Massage Therapist delivers exceptional massage and spa treatments with a focus on professionalism, a customized approach, and high levels of hospitality. Responsibilities include performing various massage types and spa services, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the spa, participating in training, achieving retail sales and upsell targets, and ensuring guest comfort and safety. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid certification in massage therapy, and at least 5 years of experience in a luxury spa setting. Skills in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage are essential, as well as expertise in at least two additional modalities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English
- Valid Massage Therapy Certification from a recognized school of massage
Desired Qualifications
- Luxury experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Advanced training in holistic and/or clinical bodywork, aromatherapy and spa/body treatments
- Strong experience in more than five modalities as described above
- Knowledge of botanical ingredients, thalassotherapy, reflexology, Ayurveda or any holistic wellness field/modality
- Knowledge of general wellness practices such as yoga, meditation, etc.
